“Here We Scout!” Fabrizio Romano breaks down his favorite Jupiler Pro League and Eredivisie transfers

Every week, the world’s leading transfer expert and journalist Fabrizio Romano will bring you the latest, biggest news in football’s transfer market through the lens of a Sorare manager. Fabrizio is way too busy to be playing Sorare himself, but his insights and recommendations might just give you some ideas for your own team.

Sometimes, the most interesting talents in Europe emerge in two leagues in particular: Jupiler League and Eredivisie, where clubs are not afraid to invest in young players and managers give them space as protagonists. But there is also room for experienced players ready to lead their teams with great leadership.

In Belgium, keep an eye on Sebastiano Esposito because this young boy can have a major impact at Anderlecht. Inter are convinced that he will be a top talent for the future, which is why they have kept a buy-back option. My suggestion is also Simon Adingra, who moved from Brighton to Union Saint-Gilloise on loan to find regular game time; Brighton have invested in him for the future, at Nordsjaelland they considered him a top talent and his start was excellent. “Trust me, this guy will one day play in the Premier League at a high level,” one of my transfer market sources told me.

Nicolas Castro will replace Kristian Thorstvedt in the KRC Genk midfield, last year at Newell’s Old Boys was involved in 10 goals and assists overall; he can be a talent to monitor, while my personal call is Cyle Larin, new signing of Club Brugge on free after they hijacked the Oympiacos deal. In Canada he is considered a top talent, a former MLS Rookie of the Year, really interesting. Those who believe in continuity can trust the leadership of Toby Alderweireld, former Tottenham and defender who can give certainty to Royal Antwerp where he will be irreplaceable… and can also find some surprise goals.

In Eredivisie, Steven Bergwijn deserves total trust: Ajax have signed a real star, it can be an excellent year for Bergwijn after difficult seasons at Tottenham. Danilo had a great debut with Feyenoord with two goals and is considered a possible surprise within the club, while Christos Tzolis has the perfect chance and situation to develop on loan after a first luckless season with Norwich in England.

Jens Odgaard can be a wild card: AZ Alkmaar have made an important investment to sign him on a permanent deal from Sassuolo, he needs to play to grow and this is his chance. Still remember great comments from Inter Youth Academy director when he was a Nerazzurri player. Finally, one of my all-time favorite talents: Xavi Simons is a player I would add to my Sorare squad right away! Quality, talent and finally space to demonstrate his skills. Ruud van Nistelrooy believes in Xavi and the start in the Eredivisie was excellent, assisting on PSV’s first goal of the season.
